Pray One Minute for a Miracle for All Mankind

Why pray for a miracle one minute a day–every day?

Why make it a focus of your appreciation to pray for a miracle one minute every day?
(Let’s say one minute every day at 1PM.)

Because we’ve heard awe-inspiring stories of people saved from disasters by what seemed like angels–

Such as the woman blinded by swirling smoke on that tragic morning of September 11, 2001, who was led safely down collapsing World Trade Center stairs by a stranger’s hand–by a fireman nobody else later claimed to see or know–

Such as the crippled Tokyo nuclear power plant in March 2011, whose toxic core mysteriously DID NOT overheat & melt down, though the control room gauges reportedly revealed an unknown force, even greater than the plant workers’ heroics, must have intervened to save it–

Or such as, in my own life, the horrible sense of foreboding & unexplainable abdominal distress that forced me, despite a massive pile of work, to beg my boss for the first time to let me leave early–with the result that I walked home whistling my way through the darkened bowels of the WTC to the Jersey PATH train station at 5:30AM, instead of my scheduled 9AM–on 9/11–

But those are during disasters, the short-sighted might say.

Why should I pray for a miracle if I’m fine?
Isn’t that just looking for trouble?
Isn’t it a sign of weakness, asking God to do everything for us?

In response, I’ll cut out all the well-proven scientific rebuttals–

Such as how quantum physicists would say we humans, each & every one of us on our tiny global trampoline, are invisibly connected in a living interactive web to every local power surge, speed bump, mass visualized event, and probable & possible event in the Universe–

And how we together instantly play, with varying degrees of conscious awareness, ever-kaleidoscoping roles in the creation of our mass & private reality–

Instead I’ll answer with 3 simple truths to this question:

Why would it benefit us to pray for a miracle at least one minute a day, every day, at 1PM?

Number One Answer, because we do need it. Let’s be honest with ourselves.

Number Two, because we would enjoy it.

Number Three, because IT WORKS.

And Mother Earth needs it.

The human race & every sentient being, every living, creeping, swimming, flying creature on Earth NEEDS it & DESERVES it.

Because we are not meant to wait for a time of desperation to pray for a miracle.

We can see plenty of desperation & suffering already in the world around us.

Instead, we are invited by the Great Spirit to pray EVERY DAY because a MIRACLE is NOT just what helps us through a disaster or hopeless situation that’s in our face–

We are scientifically constructed to use–to MASTER–the invisible METAPHYSICAL SOUL MAGIC that opens the right door, that turns scowls to smiles, that changes very real physical conditions, that turns a “No” to a “Yes”, that turns confusion or regret into clarity and hope–

That makes the quantum possibility of our experiencing, or not surviving, future “disasters” of any kind progressively less likely.

We should do it for ourselves, for our neighbors, for our country–

For our one squabbling human family that doesn’t yet know it loves itself.

The more you try a daily prayer for a miracle, the better your life will become–

Because no matter what your situation, you are giving God permission to give you the gift of YES.

No matter what the conditions in your present and future life–

Because we all will have our unexpected struggles & pains–

We can honestly say that by saying YES to God’s and the Universe’s miracles of ANY kind–

We are better for it.

Happier for it.

We are made stronger than ever before.

And according to quantum mechanics experts, the benefits of our regular daily focus regularly multiply as they spill over into our visible everyday world to assist us when and where we need it most.

Positive, powerful, practical focus tends to bring positive, powerful, practical results.

When and where we least expect it!

Peace to you my friend.
Thank you for caring and sharing.
Blessings for you in your new world.

Raw 9/11/2001 WTC Memorial Poem: YOU DIED

A raw memorial poem I wrote in NYC in 2001 immediately after destruction of the World Trade Center & the slaughter of 4,000:

YOU DIED.

My heart is ripped open.
Gouged open.
I am in shock.
I am grief.

* * * * * * * * * * *

My brain is pounding pounding
My pulse is crazed
Everything is askew
Empty
Whirling
Gasping breathless.
I’m spinning.
Who will catch me?
What can heal me?
What is real?
Where are you now?

* * * * * * * * * * *

No words to cry.
No one to hear me.
No way to cry.
My blood runs away.
Painfully sweet.
My pain flows like warm honey
Into your hive.
Into my full memories of you.

* * * * * * * * * * *

Incredible loss.
Horrific waste.
No comprehension.
I will never see you again?
Impossible.
My heart recoils at the thought
Like a gunshot aimed
In a terribly
Insanely
Wrong direction.
Look, I’ll prove it.
With my eyes closed tight right now,
I can still see you . . .

* * * * * * * * * * *

Life.
Slowly.
Flows.
Back.
Into my wretched heart.
Heals it like a
Long-vanished ocean tide
Returning to bathe crusted shores
To wash away my grief.
I am so grateful to you.

* * * * * * * * * * *

I can feel you grinning with relief.
At me.
You live in stunning new dimensions.
You see me finally
Waking up.
And.
Breathing.
Deeply.
On my side of the ripped veil.
We are both going to be
Okay.
In the morning, my tears taste
Good.

Bloody History of this Raw Memorial Poem

These few words about slaughtered friends,
about unexpected sacrifices, losses, grief and redemption
at NYC’s World Trade Center and across America
were written one gray morning after September 11, 2001.

Pinned to the sagging wire fence at Union Square Park–

surrounded by heaps of sad flowers taped to hopeful notes
pleading for any word of the whereabouts of loved ones lost in the confusion–

lit by nearby pools of candles burning in memoriam over smiling family photos of the doomed–

abandoned to the elements just a stone’s throw from the Dalai Lama’s
scale model of the Twin Towers wreathed in carnations and tears–

half hidden next to park visitors’ unforgettable words and pictures of anguish,
anger, prayer and pleading scrawled on a giant public paper canvas taped around all the paths–

two weeks later to be rolled up & shipped to the Smithsonian for what?
for safekeeping?–

my simple words lost in the miserable maze heaped
below the 145 year old gray equestrian statue of Washington
inscribed in bold chalk letters with the message PEACE NOT WAR–

this little memorial poem somehow got scooped up & quoted
on sites dotting the countryside, such as
Tulsa World.

Is it all just about luck?
About the Divine Hand?
About when it’s your time to go, you go?

By the grace of unseen guidance I and so many others survived.
Others did not.
We still remember them.

The blessings and lessons of our lives go on.

Do You Ask God Questions? Listen for Answers?

My Unusual Spiritual Experience Can Help You

One painful summer afternoon, I sat alone on a black wrought iron bench in the center of a monastery’s lush green lawn. I was determined to do what I had to do:

Talk to God. Ask tough questions. And hear the answers, like it or not.

I meditated, then wrote down my sincere questions in this Letter to Christ–and His Reply:

I didn’t demand a response, but a tingle inside told me I’d get one. I was ready. I’d been “almost ready” for too long.

A sleepy butterfly hovered over my hot bench while I waited. The sun beat down like a silent hammer, but I waited.

Finally the silence ended. Crisp words began to blow through me like gusts of fresh air in a worried sail. I wrote without censorship or fear–I had to record it exactly as I got it.

I just imagined that this was a wise old friend talking, who hadn’t visited me in ages. Every word of our conversation was precious for me to record.

As I wrote, the sun seemed to glow instead of shine. I felt a great comfortable warmth.

Later–as I still sat alone on the bench–I would second-guess myself. Maybe I wrote down certain words wrong? Would Christ, or would God, really say that? Hmmm. So I corrected myself and I fussed, and meditated. I crossed-out and uncrossed-out some words in a lengthy process until I was certain all was correct.

Then I realized: I’d “corrected” the transcript until it read exactly the way I’d first written it down!

…This brings the conversation back to YOU.

If you don’t try to get direct answers from God or Christ or whomever you pray to–why wait any longer?

Maybe you don’t think you deserve any answers? Or you couldn’t handle them? Or you might hear wrong?

It’s really okay. God allows us to be abundantly imperfect. This question-and-answer process is both possible and good.

You don’t need to write a Russian novel. God accepts postcards, and probably tweets too.

You can ask about anything. It’s your personal secret.

Maybe you fear that the answer you get might conflict with what religious leaders say is correct? Maybe the answer might not agree with what you are hoping to hear?

Relax. If this happens, remember we’re all here to learn and grow. Your Creator always supports you for trying. For caring!

No true religion will tell you that you don’t have the right to ask God questions–and get answers! Because the religions & the spiritual paths are for mankind’s help.

To prepare to receive your guidance, you can affirm, “I am loved by God. My Creator is my friend. I affirm this true relationship on a new and deeper level than ever before. I release all past experiences that deny this truth.”

“I have the right to ask. I have the right to listen. I have the right to know God cares–no matter what He says to me.”

Affirm this again and again. Pray that you be surrounded with Divine Love, Light and Protection. Pray that what you receive be only from God or from the highest servant of God available–be that an angel, a teacher of yours in Heaven or in the Spirit World.

Start to write when the feeling’s right. Then–listen with the same welcoming openness as you would to a long-lost friend of yours. Suddenly back in your life, standing in your doorway before you.

In my experience spiritually counseling so many people over the years, here’s the main reason why people don’t hear answers to their questions to God:

Because they forget to let their hearts listen. They try to judge whether every word is perfect, or perfectly acceptable, before they’ve even heard it!

Don’t worry if you get earth-shaking results or not. You might see colors or hear music or sense a couple words that stand out like an eagle silhouetted against a cloud. Any answer feels incredible.

Remember, God has every thing on Earth available to use to speak to you.

Your answer might not be heard right away. It might come to you from a commercial jingle on TV, or you might see a message on the side of a passing truck that suddenly makes unusual sense to you.

Your answer could come from kind or harsh words that someone you like–or dislike–speaks to you. Truth has its own strong integrity.

Your answer could come from the twisting shape of a playful cloud, or from a phrase in an inspirational book that leaps up at you as eagerly as your pet dog when you come home.

You could write it down in the form of a few scribbled words on a pad by your bed, when you jump up wide-awake from an unusual dream at 4 in the morning.

The key can be to grab hold of these honest words of Christ:
“I am your friend.”

Apply this fact to Whoever you believe in, or are trying to believe in. Imagine that all people, voices, guilts and fears that try to tell you differently are washed away in a pure, clean stream.

Remain open to your results. They will come. If not immediately, then sooner or later.

It’s promised.

Keep your faith my friend.
